Diving Resorts in Beqa and Pacific Harbour

Divers wishing to explore the many dive sites in the Beqa Lagoon can stay either on Beqa Island itself, or at Pacific Harbour on the mainland across the Beqa Passage. Both locations provide easy access to the many diving locations on the Beqa reef. The mainland accommodation options give access to many land-based activities such as river-rafting with Rivers Fiji, which can be an exciting way to spend your non-diving days. Beqa Island is more remote so offers other beautiful snorkelling and hiking opportunities, as well as surfing at Frigates Passage.

Here are some of the options available on Beqa Island

• Beqa Lagoon Resort, as its name implies, is located on the island of Beqa and was formerly known as the Marlin Bay Resort. It offers 25 deluxe, airconditioned bures, dining and entertainment and has its own on-site dive operation. • Lalati Resort offers luxury bure accommodation and all-inclusive dive packages. Exciting dive trips and professional dive training courses go hand-in-hand with gourmet meals and la dolce vita! Guided shore-diving and snorkelling trips are free. Surfing and fishing is also available.
• Kulu Bay Resort offers just seven luxurious and spacious villa-style bures, each over 1000 sq ft. The resort will clean, store and prepare your dive gear throughout your stay as a complimentary service. An on-site PADI Dive Center offers daily boat trips and shore dives, with night dives on request. Open Water Certification for non-divers is also available.
• Lawaki Beach House is a budget option for divers wishing to stay on Beqa island. It offers Fijian bure accommodation as well as dormitory and camping.

• The Pearl South Pacific right on the beach at Pacific Harbour has wonderful views out to sea towards Beqa island (pictured above). It is a luxury boutique style resort and an enjoyable base for your diving expeditions, with dive boats moored alongside the property. The on-site dive operation is Aqua-Trek Beqa.
• The Lagoon Resort is also located at Pacific Harbour, on the lakeside, offering medium tariff rates. Dive boats take divers direct from the resort to the ocean via a short river, passing by The Pearl Resort as it enters the ocean. The on-site operators are Beqa Adventure Divers (BAD), awarded the '2006 Best Fijian Dive Operators'.
• The Uprising Beach Resort and Tsulu Backpackers offer budget accommodation for divers and diving can be arranged with any of the dive operators at Pacific Harbour.
